| The Appalachia Skate Kommission, xASKx, is a grassroots community organization dedicated to creating a free community skate park for the town of Appalachia and surrounding area. A skatepark will provide the area's children with a safe, positive recreational environment and an alternative to drug and alcohol abuse. Additional benefits Will provide boost to area businesses, and create new business opportunities. Unique features that will make the park a tourism draw to the area.
